📢 Episode Summary:

We start in the memory of Roland recalling his youth and his teacher Vannay who taught them a lot of the "book smart" stuff whereas Cort taught the toughness and tactics. Roland is taking this trip down memory lane trying to remember what he was taught about Todash. Then we are back a bit further back in time from where we were last episode and we see Roland awake and sees not only Susannah/Mia leave camp but he also sees Eddie and Jake essentially blink out of existence, he follows Susannah not sure if the boys will even come back as Todash is very dangerous. We then follow Mia but from Roland's perspective and not Mia's and we see what the Banquet Hall she was seeing actually is, a bog. We also see the things she is eating; frogs, bugs, and swamp rat. Roland plays out the arguments of Eddie when he eventually tells him about this (assuming he acttually comes back). He sees the rest of her feeding ritual and goes back to camp covering his tracks, and to his great relief the boys are back. Mia came back and laid down next to Eddie. When they wake up in the morning he tells the boys that they phased out, they say they need to Palaver about what they saw. They cover the authorship change for Charlie and how Dickensian it all seems with Eddie's antagonists showing up in Jake's when. Also that the new name of the author is 19 characters.
