They also read emails of a new face or two and a few that have been in the DTP Tet for a while. They discuss if Low Men have a place in the larger series and even mention some claims from Reddit.

They keep the spoilers light to make it safe for both newcomers and experienced Gunslingers. So dust of your copy of The Gunslinger and listen to the boys chat about the book that began it all.

Round Table #7: The End

Tadd and Peter come in to the year 2016 (1/2016 1+2+16=19 Ka or Kaka it should be a good month and year), and in the beginning they finally start talking about The Ending! The Crimson King, The Tower, The Horn, Patrick, The Epilogue, The Coda and of course more discussion in the ever present question of Randall Flagg good or bad. The Palaver gets into interpretations and theories as well as the very nature of the Tower itself. Join in the palaver in just the tip of the iceberg for the ending as this will be the first Palaver about the ending but certainly not the last. So grab a seat at the Golgotha, grab a Gunslinger burrito and join in the Palaver. There will be rain if God wills it.

Hile Gunslingers! In this episode the boys go through the mailbag to talk a variety of topics sent in by the listeners as well as cover all the latest news about the Adaptation. Join the palaver as the boys talk everything from Is Flagg trying to help Roland all the way to if Flagg is a bad guy or misunderstood. They also cover the demise of both Flagg and the Crimson King, as well as Patrick Danville, and the comics among other assorted topics. They also get some really great stories about listeners’ journeys in reading the Dark Tower series.

 

Next time they will cover the ending (there will be water if God wills it) so send in your thoughts, questions, and theories on the ending for them to read next time.

They keep the spoilers light to make it safe for both newcomers and experienced Gunslingers. So dust of your copy of The Gunslinger and listen to the boys chat about the book that began it all. The boys also touch briefly on the Matthew McConaughey rumors. Tadd’s roommate also gives a bit of background music for a few minutes. Send in your thoughts on the book and the next part of the book club in a few episodes when the book club comes returns.

In this episode Tadd and Peter read the first few emails then tackle some book topics like; what (if any) Mid-World speech has worked into your everyday vocabulary, what is each of the Ka-Tet’s best moment in the books, what is each of the Tet’s lowest moment in each book, and how have the boy’s views on the series changed on subsequent read-throughs, as well as talk a tiny bit about the adaptation and if a certain villainous character can be removed from the adaptation in total. As well give some details about the first of the Book Club episodes which starts next episode with the beginning of The Gunslinger. Don’t worry the next Round Table (after the first book club episode) we will dive into discussing the ending.
